Episode 5 of The Celebrity Traitors airs tonight, Thursday, October 15, at 8pm on BBC One, and will reveal which celebrity the Traitors decide to murder in plain sight. The episode will also be available on BBC iPlayer at the same time.
Cliffhanger from last episode
Friday night's (October 9) instalment ended on a major cliffhanger, with Claudia Winkleman setting the Traitors a new challenge that could see one celebrity murdered in plain sight. The latest episode also saw the Faithful make another costly mistake at the Round Table, with Julie Hesmondhalgh banished from the game.
With suspicions continuing to grow and the Traitors determined to stay hidden, there is plenty to look forward to in tonight's episode.
Who left Celebrity Traitors last episode?
Friday's episode saw actress Julie Hesmondhalgh become the latest celebrity to be banished from the castle after receiving the most votes at the Round Table. The former Coronation Street star, who played Hayley Cropper in the ITV soap, was left to reveal whether she had been playing as a Faithful or a Traitor.
Speaking to her fellow contestants, she said: "You know how much I have loved every second of this experience. It has been immense. Alas, it may mean that I am not a phenomenal actor, I am indeed a faithful."
Her departure was another blow for the Faithful, who have struggled to identify the Traitors correctly. Earlier in the episode, The Last of Us actor Bella Ramsey was murdered by the Traitors, becoming the second celebrity to be killed off this series. After discovering the envelope revealing their fate, Ramsey admitted they had been expecting the move. "I think this is a clever move by the Traitors," they said.
Who will be murdered in plain sight tonight?
The biggest question heading into tonight's episode is which celebrity will become the next target of the Traitors. At the end of the last instalment, Claudia tasked Traitors Maya Jama, James Acaster and Hannah Fry with selecting four contestants to take part in a dangerous game of hide-and-seek.
The group chose Romesh Ranganathan, Rob Beckett, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Ross Kemp. However, the challenge comes with a deadly twist, as one of the four celebrities will be murdered in plain sight. Acaster suggested targeting Romesh and Rob as a strategic move, believing their close friendship could make them more likely to notice changes in his behaviour.
The four contestants were then told they had a chance to protect themselves, with one key capable of preventing the Traitors from carrying out their murder. After discussing their options, the group agreed that former Little Mix singer Leigh-Anne should take the key. The episode ended before viewers discovered who the Traitors would target, leaving fans waiting to see whether the key will be enough to save the chosen celebrity.
