Celeb Traitors star 'compared bosses to human traffickers'

A contestant on The Celebrity Traitors reportedly compared producers to "human traffickers" after being denied a personal request. The Sun reported that one of the stars, who they have chosen not to name, launched into a furious tirade after being refused a phone call with their loved ones.

Strict rules on calls home

According to the publication, "producers and fellow celebs were baffled" as the Celebrity Traitors has "strict rules on calls home," which are "made clear before anyone signed up for the show".

A source reportedly told The Sun: "The celeb couldn’t understand why they couldn’t just call home – despite this being clearly explained to them at the start of the process. They kicked off and in a rant, compared the team on the show to being like human traffickers."

Calls at producers' discretion

The Sun also explained: "The Sun can confirm that while calls are allowed, they are at the discretion of producers, at select times, on a producer’s phone, and a producer must be present."

A show insider added: "It's to protect the integrity of the game."

Fans complain about the series

The news comes as Celebrity Traitors fans have been storming social media with complaints about the latest series, all mentioning the same thing.

One person wrote: "This series of Celebrity Traitors is so boring, I'm devastated," as a second person joined in with: "Same. It had such promise too as the cast was brilliant to start with."

A third viewer complained: "I hate to say it but I'm finding #CelebrityTraitors a bit boring," as one person tried to pin-point exactly why: "Too many recruitments, it's boring, too many Traitors this year."

Yet another complaint read: "This series of #CelebrityTraitors just isn’t hitting. We have Traitors who openly hate being Traitors, won’t make decisions, not working together and you don’t see them really having each others back."

"Apart from @MayaJama, if they were all like her, it would be so different."
