Big Brother housemate Twinks was left in tears after learning she will face this week's live eviction. The 36-year-old fashion stylist, who entered the ITV competition during its third week and was automatically immune from nomination, received six nominations from her fellow housemates on Wednesday night (October 14).
Nominations and Emotional Reaction
Twinks was nominated by Rochelle, Frankie, Rhianna, Philip, Yasmin, and Omar. Rob also received six nominations from Philip, Rhianna, Omar, Frankie, Lynx, and Rochelle. This means Rob and Twinks will face Friday's live eviction, alongside Yasmin, who received the Killer Nomination earlier this week.
Despite being a strong character in the house, Twinks struggled to shake off the nominations. She admitted to being "in her feelings" over facing elimination and fought back tears as she confided in her friends about potentially leaving the show.
"I think my biggest fear is that I've spoken up for people that I love, and I worry that I've said it wrong," an emotional Twinks confessed. "And I worry that I've let them down. And I'm really worried that the communities that I've tried to give some time to are going to be really angry at me."
Friends and Fans Show Support
She continued: "And I'm really, really worried that my friends aren't going to be there when I get out. If I'd been quiet, then we wouldn't be in this situation. But I'd also never be able to go home and look my friends in the face or look myself in the mirror. 'Cause without my friends, I have nothing. I don't have a biological family, so my friends are my everything."
The East Londoner went on to say: "I know this all just deep-seated paranoia, but this place makes you so paranoid, I've never known anything like it. I am so sure of myself. And I'm so, so unsure of myself here."
The scene left viewers at home emotional, with Twinks' friends rushing to share their words of support on social media. Her close friend Louise O'Mahony posted an Instagram story, stating: "Hard watch this eve. We love you, Twinks."
Online Reactions and Favourite Status
Another loved one commented on the official Big Brother page, writing: "My heart has broken in to a million pieces that even for a minute Twinks could think her friends, her coven, her family would ever love her less! SHE IS OUR SUN, she is ayahuasca, and SHE ALWAYS COMES OUT ON TOP - fly my phoenix."
Fans have also voiced their support online, with many applauding her dedication to leading hard conversations in the house. Twinks has been at the centre of discussions about the LGBTQIA+ community as well as feminism since she joined the competition. These difficult talks played a part in her nominations, as some housemates feel she doesn't engage in enough light-hearted conversations with her co-stars. Viewers have also questioned if her approach has been heavy-handed, but she is still among the favourites to win the series.
Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
