Lee Davey and Sophie Pritchard, who met during the third season of Big Brother in 2002, became the show's first contestants to marry when they tied the knot in 2003. The couple welcomed their son Maxwell in 2005, but split around 10 months later and divorced.
Romance in the Big Brother House
The pair met during the reality show's hugely popular third series in 2002, which also introduced viewers to some of Big Brother's most memorable contestants. Alison Hammond, Jade Goody and Adele Roberts all entered the famous house that year, while Kate Lawler eventually walked away as the winner and claimed the £70,000 prize.
After leaving the house, the couple stayed together and Lee later proposed to Sophie live on Channel 4 breakfast show RI:SE. They went on to become the first Big Brother contestants to marry when they tied the knot the following year in 2003, with their relationship appearing to be one of the show's biggest success stories.
Different Paths After the Split
More than two decades on from their time in the Big Brother house, both have taken very different paths. Lee initially remained in the spotlight and at one stage performed with male stripping troupe the Dreamboys, but has since established a career in sports journalism.
According to his X profile, he now describes himself as a freelance European football journalist and works as a writer and broadcaster for talkSPORT's Back2Back. His LinkedIn profile also lists appearances on Sky Sports News' newspaper review among his broadcasting work and says he has written for MailOnline and talkSPORT, as well as covering French football for Ligue1.com.
Lee describes himself as a multimedia freelance football journalist with experience covering matches, producing previews and reviews, conducting interviews and creating digital content.
Sophie's Quiet Life and Family Growth
Sophie, meanwhile, chose a much quieter life after her time in the public eye and has largely stayed away from showbusiness. While little is publicly known about her current career, social media posts show her family has grown in the years since Big Brother.
Sophie has welcomed two more children, a boy and a girl, with her eldest son Maxwell now a big brother who would now be 21 years old. She has also used social media to speak about an issue close to her heart following the death of her mother. She has expressed her support for assisted dying, saying she watched her mum "suffer for a week in a hospice" towards the end of her life.
Kate Lawler's Return to Big Brother
Earlier this week it was revealed season three winner Kate Lawler is celebrating a "full-circle moment" over 20 years after appearing on the show. The 46-year-old made history when she became the competition's first ever female champion back in 2002, and now ITV has announced that Kate will front a brand-new companion series alongside podcaster GK Barry.
It's called Big Brother: The Group Chat, and follows Kate and GK as they dissect big moments from the main series, which is expected to return this autumn. Reflecting on the big news, Kate said: "Big Brother has been a huge part of my life since I first stepped through those doors 24 years ago, so to now be returning in this role alongside the fantastic GK Barry feels like an exciting full-circle moment. I can't wait to get stuck into all the conversations, twists and talking points with the fans, while bringing a little of my own first-hand experience to the mix."
