Big Brother viewers have exposed one housemate's 'lie' that her co-stars seem to believe. The ITV2 reality show is currently in its Week of Revelations, which is all about airing the housemates' secret chats out for everyone to hear.
Original contestant Rochelle was at the centre of the latest revelation, which disclosed a brutal comment she made about a fellow housemate without identifying who she was referring to.
Revelation sparks denial
It was revealed when newcomers Twinks and Catrin returned to Big Brother's library as well as Lynx and Philip. They were given a selection of DVDs and books containing private conversations that happened between their co-stars. One of the books, titled Book of Revelations: Rochelle, featured a quote from the 57-year-old housewife.
Speaking about someone in the house, Rochelle said: "Now, that is what you call trashy." Twinks instantly suspected the comment was about her, but Rochelle insisted it was made in reference to ex-housemate Johanne.
She told Twinks: "[The comment] had nothing to do with you. It was [Johanne], she called me trashy and I was like 'You are trashy.' That had nothing to do with you."
Rochelle went on to add: "I don't use that word. Cause I kept saying 'Can you imagine if I called her [Johanne] trashy, how it would backlash on me?' But that's what she called me."
Footage unearthed by fans
The Essex-based star admitted she referred to Twinks as a "t**t" but drew the line at calling her "trashy". However, viewers at home quickly dug up the very moment Rochelle made the "vile" comment, and it turns out it was about Twinks.
During Sunday's episode (October 4), Rochelle and Philip had a conversation about newcomers Twinks and Catrin shortly after meeting them. Rochelle was shown confiding in Philip, saying: "Look at her [Twinks], look at her honing in. Old fisherman. Now, that is what you call trashy."
An eagle-eyed fan took to X after spotting the 'lie' and posted: "Why is Rochelle lying... you called Twinks Trashy #BBUK." Someone else added: "Rochelle literally did call Twinks trashy & That quote was ABOUT HER. That's why she's so defensive #BBUK."
Fans react to the 'lie'
While a third joked: "Give me a tennis ball so I can let Twinks know Rochelle called her trashy! #bbuk." Others didn't even need to fact-check Rochelle's claims because they remembered the conversation word-for-word.
"I remembered this when I watched last night! And the way Rochelle just lied through her teeth saying, 'I don't even use that word,'" commented one viewer. But some fans are convinced Rochelle may have "forgotten" making the remark.
They argue her memory could be clouded because she did refer to Johanne as trashy in a different argument. Big Brother is streaming on ITVX.
