This Morning hosts Ben Shepherd and Cat Deeley have shared an update on Alison Hammond after she was taken to hospital for checks last week.
Alison was escorted off the ITV programme by co-host Dermot O'Leary while appearing to hold her chest. The broadcast swiftly moved to a commercial break and resumed with Dermot explaining Alison was "feeling a little unwell" and "had to duck out".
Hospital visit and all clear
Alison later confirmed she was in hospital and was having her heart checked after suffering a "little bit of a palpitation". She later updated fans again, clarifying that she had experienced a panic attack and was back at home.
On Monday (October 5), Ben Shepherd and Cat Deeley spoke about Alison at the start of the show. They said: "We wanted to share some good news, please, about Alison."
"She was taken to hospital for checks, but now, thankfully, she has been given the all clear. Yeah she's home, resting, and already feeling a lot better."
Recovery at home
A video of Alison's Instagram post was played, after which Ben said: "She's being spoiled by everyone at home. She's feeling like a princess."
"But she was mostly disappointed that she missed out on the Saturday soup that was being cooked on Friday's show." Cat then said: "Can we get some over to her, do you think? Because I think she's probably watching the show right now."
Ben added: "We need to try and make sure we can sort of recreate that station for her at some point. Maybe this Friday. Fingers crossed if she's back."
