Take That Netflix Documentary to Feature Unseen Footage from January 27

Netflix has released a first-look trailer for a new three-part documentary series about Take That, set to premiere on January 27. The series promises exclusive unseen footage and new interviews with band members Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, and Mark Owen, offering an intimate look at the group's rise, split, and comeback.

The documentary, directed by David Soutar, includes rare archive material spanning 35 years, personal footage, and candid reflections from the band. In the trailer, Mark Owen notes that 'the more successful we became, the bigger audiences, it was also the beginning of the end for us as a band', while Gary Barlow speaks of the 'unbelievable amount of pressure' he faced as the main songwriter, adding that 'we were a business now, a money-making machine for a lot of people'.

The series explores the challenges of fame and the dynamics within the group, which also originally included Jason Orange and Robbie Williams. It covers their early days in Manchester, global success with over 45 million records sold, and their eventual split and reunion. A synopsis describes it as 'the deeply personal and definitive story of Take That'.
