The M60 motorway has been closed in the anticlockwise direction due to a Greater Manchester Police-led incident, causing significant traffic disruption in the early hours of Monday morning.
Closure Details
National Highways announced the closure shortly after midnight on Monday, August 10. The motorway is shut between junction 17 for Prestwich in Bury and junction 16 for Clifton in Salford.
A statement posted on X at 12:17am said that traffic officers are en route to assist with traffic management and diversion of motorists.
Traffic Impact
Current delays of 10 minutes are reported on the approach, with about 1 mile of congestion building up.
