Sir Tom Jones has rescheduled two upcoming US tour dates after his doctors advised him not to perform following a bout of flu. The 86-year-old Welsh singer apologised to fans on Instagram, saying he had been "unexpectedly hit with a bad case of the flu."
Sir Tom is currently on the US leg of his Come Gather Round Tour and has completed 20 shows in America so far. His three remaining shows in California have not been changed.
Rescheduled Shows in San Diego and Los Angeles
In a message to fans on social media, Sir Tom said: "I've had a great time these last few weeks, completing 20 shows and singing for wonderful audiences across the USA, but unexpectedly I've been hit with a bad case of the flu. Following doctor's advice, I unfortunately have to reschedule tonight's show in Los Angeles and tomorrow's show in San Diego."
The rescheduled dates are The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park, San Diego on Tuesday November 3rd and The Greek Theatre, Los Angeles on Wednesday November 4th. Sir Tom added: "I'm truly sorry for any inconvenience caused. I look forward to seeing you all soon."

Tickets already purchased for the original dates will remain valid for the rescheduled shows. Customers unable to attend the new dates are advised to contact their original point of purchase for a full refund.

The rescheduled tour dates come weeks after the Treforest-born singer was let go from the judges panel on ITV show The Voice. It was previously confirmed that Sir Tom would not be returning after 13 years on the show, a decision he claimed was not his.
