Slipknot’s Sid Wilson has publicly apologised after Kelly Osbourne called him out for allegedly mocking her father Ozzy Osbourne’s legendary band, Black Sabbath, during a recent performance.
The controversy erupted when Kelly took to social media to express her outrage, accusing Wilson of disrespecting the iconic metal group. In a now-deleted post, she wrote: "How dare you disrespect my father’s band like that? Black Sabbath paved the way for bands like yours."
Wilson, known for his chaotic stage presence as Slipknot’s turntablist, swiftly responded with an apology. "I have nothing but respect for Ozzy and Black Sabbath," he stated. "If my actions were misinterpreted, I sincerely apologise. It was never my intention to offend."
The incident has sparked debate among fans, with some defending Wilson’s artistic expression while others sided with Kelly’s sentiment. Black Sabbath, formed in Birmingham in 1968, is widely regarded as one of the most influential bands in heavy metal history.
Neither Ozzy Osbourne nor other members of Black Sabbath have publicly commented on the situation.
