Sam Fender vows to cut 2027 tour ticket prices after backlash

Sam Fender has publicly criticised his own ticket prices for the Proper Massive 2027 tour, vowing to get them changed after fans complained they are "far too high." The People Watching star said he had "no idea" how such prices became normalised at gigs, telling fans: "It’s b***ocks and It won’t be happening on this tour."

Tour details and price reveal

Excitement has been building among Fender fans this week following the announcement of his Proper Massive tour for next year. The venues — St James' Park, the Etihad, Principality Stadium, Murrayfield, Wembley and Marlay Park — were confirmed in a Lord of the Rings-inspired video on Monday evening. Full tour dates were released on Wednesday morning, along with pre-sale details.

Several ticketing sites have now published prices for each location. St James' Park in Newcastle is the cheapest overall, with standing tickets at £98.60 and seats priced at £86.50, £103 and £112.90. In Cardiff and Manchester, normal standing is also £98, but a front standing category is priced at around £120.

Murrayfield also offers front standing at £120, with general standing slightly more expensive than elsewhere at £100. Wembley is the most expensive venue, with seats up to £130, matching the front standing price.

Several Instagram accounts shared the ticket prices, including festival and gig expert Gavin Leigh Davis. In the comments on Davis's post, the North Shields musician replied: "I’m not happy with these prices, they’re getting changed. It got inflated well more than I’d had in mind, it should only be inflated in relation to the cost of putting the show on. The standing will not be split as well, I had no idea about it."

The Brit and Mercury winner added: "I have no idea how this was normalised in gigs. It’s b***ocks and It won’t be happening on this tour." Fans were quick to respond, with one writing: "Get them told lad!" and another commenting: "I really hope you can reduce it, those prices are crackers man!"
