Sam Fender has confirmed he will embark on a "massive" new stadium tour in 2027, which will include a stop at Manchester's Etihad Stadium, likely in July 2027, as previously reported by the Manchester Evening News.
No dates or ticket details have been officially confirmed yet. However, other venues teased in a social media video posted by Sam and his band include a homecoming to St James' Park in Newcastle, as well as the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Murrayfield in Edinburgh, and Wembley Stadium in London.
Announcement Expected This Week
The teaser suggests a full announcement is imminent this week, leaving fans on standby for what is expected to be a ticket frenzy to see the star back on the road in 2027.
Sam and his band posted a humorous video on his official social media on Monday night, dressed as Lord of the Rings characters as the "beacons are lit" for the tour. At the same time, posters appeared in Manchester's Northern Quarter with the slogan "Proper Massive" and a link to Sam's official website, where the logo has been changed to "SF27". Fans are encouraged to sign up to the official newsletter for further details.
Tour Background and Manchester Connection
The BRIT Award-winning singer, from North Shields, last toured in 2025, with his last Manchester appearance at Wythenshawe Park in August 2025. He is known for songs like "Hypersonic Missiles", "Seventeen Going Under", and his record-breaking duet "Rein Me In" featuring Olivia Dean.
The news comes a month after the MEN revealed that Etihad Stadium bosses are to announce further gigs in July, following an epic June at Manchester City's home ground due to the 11-night residency from Oasis. July is now looking promising for Sam Fender dates, with other big names also set to be announced to play at the stadium next summer.
