David Gilmour has definitively ruled out any prospect of a Pink Floyd reunion, declaring there is "no possible way" he would reunite with former bandmate Roger Waters. The guitarist, 79, made the remarks during an interview with The Telegraph, ending speculation that the band might follow Oasis's lead with a comeback.
Gilmour and Waters have been locked in a feud since Waters left the band in 1985, despite a brief reunion in 2005. Their animosity resurfaced publicly in 2022 when Waters criticised Gilmour and drummer Nick Mason for releasing a protest song with Ukrainian musician Andrij Chlywnjuk following the Russian invasion. Gilmour's wife, Polly Samson, launched a scathing attack on Waters on social media, calling him an "anti-Semite" and "Putin apologist".
In the new interview, Samson confirmed her stance had not changed, with Gilmour adding: "Exactly the same. Every word demonstrably true." Pink Floyd's drummer Nick Mason previously commented on the feud, suggesting Waters does not respect Gilmour's contributions. The band's last full reunion was in 2005 for Live 8.
