Partygoers in Ibiza were left gobsmacked when a woman took to the decks and they realised it was 90s icon Mel C, aka Sporty Spice, DJing a set of millennial bangers.
The 52-year-old singer, who rose to fame as part of the Spice Girls, held it down at a club in the party capital, playing track after track that went down a storm with fans. Mel C, known for her rock-hard abs, boogied in an outfit that showed off her physique as she brought the vibes.
Clues to the mystery DJ
Before the reveal, partygoers had no idea who was performing. The mystery DJ had nine number one singles and two number one albums under her belt, and rose to fame with four bandmates. Their hits included 'Too Much,' 'Holler / Let Love Lead the Way,' and 'Wannabe.'
Kevin Coundon, who posts on Instagram as @mr.kevin.at.home, shared a video of Mel C's set with the caption: "POV: Ibiza finally starts playing music for the millennials."
Setlist and fan reactions
The set included a remix of 'King of my Castle' by Wamdue Project from 1997, a remix of 'You've Got the Love' by Candi Staton, and a snippet of Mel C singing along to DJ Rui Da Silva's 'Touch Me.'
Kevin captioned his video: "Who decided Ibiza had an age limit anyway? Good music, an incredible crowd and one of those nights where you completely forget what time it is… and we did!"
In the comments, fans raved about her, with one saying "she was the most last Saturday" when they saw her DJing. Another wrote: "Wow, I wish I was there," while someone else called her "an icon and goals." Another added: "What a night." Someone else noted: "Our kind of party."
One social media user said: "Always thought Mel would smash it as a DJ. Mixy Spice now. I liked her solo stuff." Another responded: "That’s Sporty Spice? Wow, playing the tuuuunnnneeeesss."
