Celebrity Traitors stars Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Maya Jama were spotted returning to their hotel after departing the Scottish castle following another day of filming. The stars are staying nearby at the Courtyard by Marriott in Inverness while shooting the second series of the star-studded spin-off, which will air this autumn.
They were dressed in khaki jumpers and black gilets, suggesting they had just filmed one of the challenges where contestants earn money for the prize pot. The money accumulated at the end of the game goes to a charity of the celebrity's choice, once the winner or winners have been decided.
Maya, who looked fresh-faced with her hair down, was carrying a hot water bottle against her body as she made her way into her accommodation. Leigh-Anne also clutched a fluffy hot water bottle as they kept cosy during the nighttime outing.
During their stay, an artist known as Mr Phantom staged an exhibition by installing his artwork across the walls and projecting cryptic messages onto the building.
Last week, it was reported that Traitors bosses have drafted in a counsellor experienced in managing war zones for the stars that are filming the BBC show. The first series of the celebrity version of the popular programme hit screens in October last year and saw Alan Carr win £87,500 for his chosen charity Neuroblastoma UK.
After a nail-biting season, fans were left jumping for joy when a second series was confirmed, and filming started earlier this month. According to The Sun, mental health expert Tanya Taylor-Wright was recently spotted at Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands to look out for the welfare of the competitors.
As viewers will know, the show follows a group of celebrities trying to figure out who is a Traitor and who is Faithful in the ultimate game of deceit and betrayal. A BBC Traitors spokesperson told the publication: 'Since the first series in 2022, we have had a dedicated welfare team and psychological support on hand who monitor and regularly speak to the players in private to ensure they feel comfortable throughout the process. Our priority is and will continue to be supporting the well-being of the cast.'
According to her website, Tanya is an accredited psychotherapist, counsellor, media mental health practitioner, group therapist and trainer. She has shared her expertise and given support on reality shows such as Celebrity Traitors, The Traitors and Squid Game: The Challenge. Other work credits include Helmand – Tour of Duty, The Downfall of Huw Edwards and Ambulance.
