Record-breaking US singer Alex Warren will headline Cardiff's Blackweir Live outdoor venue in summer 2027. The artist behind the seven-times platinum song Ordinary will kick off his major run of outdoor shows with a Cardiff date next summer.
Finding (More) Family On The Road tour
Warren, known for the viral hit Ordinary and a chart-topping multi-platinum career, will headline Blackweir Fields on Sunday June 20. The Cardiff show is part of his Finding (More) Family On The Road world tour, which brings him to the UK and Ireland for seven dates.
Fans can sign up for the Thursday, October 1 pre-sale via blackweirlive/alexwarren. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday, October 2 via www.blackweirlive.com and www.ticketmaster.co.uk.
WILDCHILD album and record-breaking success
The announcement follows the release of Warren's second album, WILDCHILD, a deeply personal record that looks back at his childhood, his parents and the experiences that have shaped him, while pushing his widescreen pop sound into new territory. The album features Chic legend Nile Rodgers on Emerald Eyes and John Mayer on its closing title track.
His breakout folk-pop single Ordinary became a global smash, breaking records by spending over 60 weeks in the top 10 of the Billboard Global 200 and achieving multi-week No. 1 status internationally. His catalogue has now amassed more than 11 billion streams, while his debut album, You'll Be Alright, Kid, reached the Top 5 of the Billboard 200.

Other 2027 Cardiff announcements
Already announced for summer 2027 at Blackweir Live is Fontaines DC, who play the outdoor venue on Tuesday, June 29. Cardiff Castle will see Ronan Keating perform on Friday, July 9, with support from Blue and the Germein Sisters, and a double headliner in Jack Savoretti and James Morrison on Thursday, June 24. Tickets for these gigs are available from depotlive.co.uk and Ticketmaster.
The announcements for Blackweir Live and Cardiff Castle 2027 follow a 29-run of gigs over the two venues, hosting more than 360,000 people. Gigs included huge global music acts like Pitbull, Katy Perry, Lewis Capaldi, The Cure, Sex Pistols and more.
