The Weeknd's Epic Etihad Stadium Show in Manchester

The Weeknd made a triumphant return to Manchester on June 11, 2026, delivering a spectacular two-hour performance at The Etihad Stadium as part of his record-breaking 'After Hours til Dawn' tour. The Canadian superstar kicked off the UK and Europe leg of the tour with the first of two nights in the city, playing to a crowd of 43,000 people.

A Historic Tour

This current tour is the highest-grossing R&B tour and the biggest tour by a solo male artist in history, having grossed over $1 billion across more than 150 shows. The momentum shows no signs of slowing down. The two shows at the Etihad on Thursday and Friday mark The Weeknd's first performances in Manchester in three years and are also the first major music concerts held at the stadium in that time.

The Show

Originally launched in 2022, the After Hours Til Dawn Tour has traveled the world over the last three years, celebrating the artist's acclaimed album trilogy: After Hours (2020), Dawn FM (2022), and Hurry Up Tomorrow (2025). For the Manchester shows, he was joined by supporting acts Prince 85 and American rapper Playboi Carti.

The Weeknd emerged from flames engulfing a pitch-length walkway, wearing all black and an MF Doom-style mask. He was flanked by dancers in red capes with haunting gold masks and a 24-foot sculpture named 'Sexy Robot,' designed by legendary Japanese artist Hajime Sorayama. The stage featured sprawling golden ruins, suspended rings, lasers, and flames, framing a setlist that included some of his biggest chart-toppers.

Setlist Highlights

The show began with tracks from his latest record, Hurry Up Tomorrow, including 'Baptized in Fear,' 'Open Hearts,' and 'Wake Me Up.' Heavy hitters like 'Starboy,' 'Heartless,' and 'Take My Breath' soon followed. The set also included hits from After Hours and Dawn FM, such as 'Blinding Lights,' 'Save Your Tears,' 'Sacrifice,' and 'How Do I Make You Love Me.' Earlier tracks like 'The Hills' (2015) and 'Wicked Games' (2011) were also well-received by the Manchester crowd.
