Razer has launched the Raiju V3 Pro, its first new esports-focused PlayStation and PC controller since the Wolverine V2 Pro in 2021. Priced at £199.99, the wireless controller is designed for competitive play on PS5 and PC, prioritising performance and accuracy.
The Raiju V3 Pro features TMR (Tunnel Magnetoresistance) thumbsticks instead of the hall effect sensors found on the Wolverine V3 Pro. According to Razer, TMR technology consumes less power, is less prone to interference, and offers greater precision. The controller also includes mecha-tactile PBT action buttons and an 8-way floating d-pad.
Weighing just 258g, the controller is 50g lighter than the Wolverine V3 Pro. The body uses hard plastic with rubberised handles, a design choice that keeps weight down for esports professionals. A USB-C port on top features a protruding plastic cover, and there is no RGB lighting, which is unusual for Razer.
The Raiju V3 Pro comes with removable back buttons, which can be added or removed using a provided screwdriver. Two claw grip buttons on the top are programmable via Razer Synapse. The adjustable triggers offer shorter or longer trigger pulls, with a mechanism that the reviewer praised as excellent.
Overall, the Raiju V3 Pro is a premium controller that delivers on its esports promise, though its lightweight build may not feel ultra-premium to all users.
