What Is The Following About?
The American psychological thriller series was created by Kevin Williamson and originally aired on Fox from 2013 to 2015. During its run, it won three awards and received 14 nominations.
Set in New York City, Virginia, and Maryland, the show follows former FBI agent Ryan Hardy, played by Kevin Bacon, as he tries to recapture serial killer Joe Carroll, played by James Purefoy, after Carroll escapes from prison. Hardy discovers that Carroll has built a cult of killers from people he met while teaching and in prison, with Emma Hill, played by Valorie Curry, as his right-hand woman.
Carroll's son Joey Matthews, played by Kyle Catlett, is abducted by his father's followers. The FBI team realises this is the first step in Carroll's wider plan to escape custody and reunite with his ex-wife Claire Matthews, played by Natalie Zea.
