Liz Fletcher, wife of former Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher, had a tough time in the latest episode of ITV's Fletchers' Family Farm. The couple, who document their experiences on their Peak District farm, were preparing to showcase livestock at the Royal Cheshire Show. Liz attempted to master walking a cow named Cherry but found it challenging.
A Nervous Challenge
Liz admitted to Kelvin that she was doing 'terrible' and that the cow was uncontrollable. 'She was walking me!' Liz exclaimed. Despite Kelvin's guidance, Liz confessed she felt nervous. 'Not much on the farm has made me nervous, but this makes me nervous,' she said.
Fear of Embarrassment
Liz explained that handling the cow in front of an audience was more nerve-wracking than anything else. 'I can't embarrass us. I can't embarrass the Fletcher farming name by screaming,' she added. She initially struggled to get Cherry moving and then to maintain pace, admitting, 'I genuinely don't want to do it.'
Realistic Outlook
Kelvin tried to reassure Liz, but she insisted on being realistic. 'I can't pretend that that was good. It wasn't good,' she said. 'I accept it wasn't great. I will do better next time. But I'm not fantasising that that was good.'
Kelvin, who rose to fame as Andy Sugden in Emmerdale, first documented his farming journey in Kelvin's Big Farming Adventure before launching Fletchers' Family Farm with Liz. The show has run for four series and airs on ITV.
