Kit Green gets distressing cancer update in Coronation Street spoiler
Kit Green receives distressing cancer news in Corrie spoiler

Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) has been keeping his cancer diagnosis secret in Coronation Street, but new scenes suggest he may have to face the truth about his condition. After learning he carries a faulty BRCA gene and being diagnosed with stage three breast cancer, Kit has only confided in Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) and his mum Bernie Winter-Alahan (Jane Hazlegrove).

Next week, Kit visits the hospital to discuss his chemotherapy plan with a nurse. As she explains the procedure and the drugs he will receive, his phone rings constantly, reminding him of work pressures. When he asks if he can continue his job during treatment, the nurse tells him most people feel quite unwell from the drugs, though Kit counters that different people react differently.

Nurse's warning about infection risk

The nurse admits that staying at work is possible but warns him about the risk of infection as his phone continues to buzz. She then suggests Kit inform his workplace about his situation, and the colour drains from his face.

At the police station, Kit's colleague Lisa Connor-Swain (Vicky Myers) is furious to learn he has thrown his third sickie of the week, just as reports of a shooting at the Platt household send her rushing back to the cobbles.

Kit reveals truth to Lisa

When Kit arrives at work, he finds Lisa writing a report on the incident, and she lays into him for ignoring her earlier calls. As she scolds him, he finally tells her the truth about his cancer. Her anger melts away, and Lisa tells Kit that both she and the force will do whatever they can to support him as he battles the disease.

As Kit faces the toughest battle of his life, he is surrounded by love and support from those closest to him.
