England made it three wins in a row in the Nations League as they beat the Czech Republic 3-0 at Wembley Stadium.
Captain Harry Kane scored twice and assisted the other of England’s goals on the night when he became the joint most-capped player in the country’s history, level on 125 appearances with Peter Shilton.
Kane set up Vladimir Coufal for an own goal for 1-0 and had doubled the lead before the interval with a goal of his own, before notching again to make it a comfortable win for Thomas Tuchel’s side.
Player ratings vs Czech Republic
Jordan Pickford 6
Barely had anything to do other than a few clearances charged down by Czechia players.
Trent Alexander-Arnold 6
A couple of really nice passes were banked into an otherwise quieter display by the Real Madrid right-back than he produced in last Tuesday’s reverse fixture in Prague.
Jarell Quansah 6
Defended resolutely and even had a pop at goal at one point. Shifted along to centre-back as Alexander-Arnold came in on the right flank.
Marc Guehi 5
Made an error eerily similar to the one that handed Lamine Yamal a second-minute goal in the Spain game 11 days ago, though this one went unpunished. Otherwise fine.
Lewis Hall 7
Assisted Kane’s second goal with a nicely shaped corner and was a nuisance down the left again.
Elliot Anderson 7
Made the second goal, really, with a defence-breaking pass into Morgan Rogers. Kept his energy up until being rested.
Myles Lewis-Skelly 6
Booked for stopping a counter-attack in the first half but some nice turns and another decent showing.
Morgan Rogers 7
Tried things, was bright, and assisted Kane’s first with a fantastic first-time ball across the penalty area.
Jude Bellingham 7
Some ridiculous turns and touches, as expected. Not quite as influential as in Rijeka but very good again.
Eberechi Eze 7
Hasn’t always impressed for England of late but was lively at Wembley and helped to knit England’s attacks together.
Harry Kane 9
England’s history man scored twice and assisted the other goal as he tied level with Peter Shilton to become England’s joint most-capped player ever. Brilliant performance from the captain.
Substitutes' performances
James Garner (Anderson, 63’) 6
Came in at left-back and was involved both in defending and going forward.
Jarrad Branthwaite (Guehi, 63’) 5
Slotted in at left centre-back once Guehi made way. Rated highly by Tuchel looking towards the future.
Morgan Gibbs-White (Hall, 72’) 5
Wasn’t on for enough time to affect play and will be disappointed he didn’t start.
Rio Ngumoha (Bellingham, 73’) 6
Definitely creative and lively in an admittedly brief cameo.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin (Kane, 82’) N/A
Not used: Trafford, Steele, Saka, Gordon, Chalobah, Lewis.
