GTA 6 fan plans 60-hour gaming marathon, sends girlfriend away
GTA 6 fan plans 60-hour marathon, girlfriend to go on holiday

A Kent-based YouTuber is planning to play Grand Theft Auto VI for 60 hours non-stop, clearing his work diary and stocking up on snacks to avoid any interruptions. Ollie H, 26, a content creator, intends to spend 12 to 14 hours a day playing the game, starting at around 7am or 8am each morning and continuing until the evening.

Ollie has already prepared for the release by buying a new TV and filling his fridge with J2O and plenty of snacks to keep him fuelled. He told the Daily Star that he will not be cooking during the marathon, saying, "I'll get a takeaway the night it comes out. I normally do the cooking, but I won't have time when the game comes out."

Girlfriend's Support and a Holiday Plan

Ollie says his girlfriend Beth is fully behind his plans, explaining, "She's been really supportive. She said she'll definitely give me the space and time because knows I've been waiting for like four or five years for the game." However, he admitted she is unlikely to join him in playing, saying, "She's not into games like that, so I don't think she'll be interested, if I'm honest."

Instead, Ollie is hoping to send Beth on a free holiday to Amsterdam while he plays. She has entered lifestyle brand Generator's Grand Theft Getaway competition, which offers a three-night trip to the Dutch capital for two people, with £500 towards travel and spending money.

Marathon Details and Future Plans

Ollie plans to play the game without rushing, stating, "I'm planning to spend 12-14 hours a day playing GTA 6. I've stocked up on tons of energy drinks and snacks, and it'll be takeaways only, absolutely no cooking. I don't want to rush through the game, though. I want to take my time and enjoy it."

Asked whether he'd rather accompany his girlfriend on holiday, Ollie replied, "I think she'll be alright on her own, you know, because I can play the game. Then we're both separate, so it makes everyone happy." He insisted their relationship would survive his gaming obsession, adding, "I'm sure in a few days after it's out, we can go back to a normal life."

Grand Theft Auto VI is set to be released on November 19. Gamers can enter Generator's competition on their social media platforms before Friday, November 6, by tagging the person or people they'd send to Amsterdam.
