Strictly Come Dancing has announced the third celebrity to join the 2026 cast: Australian singer Delta Goodrem. She follows the earlier confirmations of Lacey Turner and Dani Dyer for the upcoming BBC series.
New Series Details
The BBC dance competition returns this autumn and winter for its first series since long-time hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman departed. They have been replaced by a trio of presenters: Johannes Radebe, Josh Widdicombe, and Emma Willis.
Announced Contestants
Lacey Turner, known for her role as Stacey Slater on EastEnders, was the first celebrity announced. She expressed her excitement: "I am so excited to be making my way to the dance floor this year to be a part of Strictly! I am a huge fan and can't quite believe I will be taking part and not watching at home this year! I look forward to meeting everyone and learning a new skill!"
Dani Dyer, who had to withdraw last year due to a foot injury, is returning. She said: "I am so excited to be back in the ballroom this September! I just cannot wait to get my dancing shoes back on and hopefully this time around I can actually make it to week one! I'm just over the moon and cannot wait to find out who else is doing it!"
Professional Dancers Changes
Five professional dancers—Gorka Marquez, Michelle Tsiakkas, Karen Hauer, Nadiya Bychkova, and Luba Mushtuk—have left the show, with five new professionals set to join.
Johannes Radebe, moving from professional dancer to host, commented: "To be returning to Strictly Come Dancing in this new role is beyond anything I ever imagined. This show has always stood for joy, heart, and togetherness, and I feel deeply honoured to now help carry that magic forward. To do it alongside the formidable Emma Willis and the utterly brilliant Josh Widdicombe makes it even more special. I'm ready—sequins, nerves, and all... please bear with me. Love Jojo."
