Celebrity Traitors bosses have been forced to scrap a major plan for the show after an "unthinkable" incident. Executives removed an entire cliffhanger planned for later in the series because an unplanned event completely upstaged it.
Cliffhanger plans abandoned
A source explained the decision: "Cliffhangers on The Traitors have become legendary so bosses never want to disappoint and hope to have the nation on tenterhooks all week, waiting for Thursdays to come around – that's part of the reason the format being fed out twice a week works. So they plot out likely moments in gameplay that will be the Friday cliffs."
The incident means fans will be left in shock as the anticipated moment will no longer air as intended. The show is hosted by Claudia Winkleman.
