Max Rushden is joined by Barry Glendenning, Lars Sivertsen, Mark Langdon, Ewan Murray, and Jack Snape to preview Groups A-D of the 2026 World Cup, including Scotland and Brazil.
On the podcast today, the first of our World Cup previews. Four groups per podcast in alphabetical order.
Group A: Mexico, South Africa, South Korea, Czechia
Starting with Group A, hosts Mexico feature alongside South Africa, South Korea, and Czechia. It is probably Son Heung-min's final tournament, and Mexico could well host England in the Round of 16, so it is worth playing close attention to them.
Group B: Canada, Switzerland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Qatar
In Group B, Canada line up against Switzerland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Qatar. No Xherdan Shaqiri for Switzerland, but a 40-year-old Edin Dzeko will be lining up for Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is something we can all look forward to.
Group C: Scotland, Haiti, Morocco, Brazil
Over in Group C, Scotland are competing in their first tournament since 1998, finding themselves facing Haiti, Morocco, and Brazil.
Group D: USA, Australia, Paraguay, Turkey
And then finally, to Group D: the USA, Australia, Paraguay, and perennial dark horses Turkey.
