Scare Nights at Fonmon
Prepare to enter the darkness as terrifying characters, unexpected scares and horrifying surprises lurk around every corner at the Fonmon nighttime event, Camp Fonmon, which runs from 6-10pm, October 17 until November 1.

Scream Time, Margam Park
Ghosts, ghouls, witches and zombies are just some of the characters who are ready to give you goosebumps, alongside the resident bats. You'll meet Rotten Rodney, axeman Jack and loads more at this, the third Scream Time set at the atmospheric Margam Park.
Scream Time is strictly for adults only and is different each year. Visitors must expect the unexpected—meeting a host of terrifying characters as well as experiencing jump scares, spine-chilling creeps, live performances and interactive games. Monsters of the Mine, Hirwaun
Discover the chilling monsters of the mine at Zip World Tower near Hirwaun, Cynon Valley for 2026's The Final Reckoning event. It's a one-of-a-kind Halloween experience in a South Wales coal mine where adventure meets terror which starts even before you get out of the car.
You can brave the adrenaline-fuelled adventures, the zip, and the tower coaster in the dark, whilst you're tormented and terrorised by the crowd of gruelling monsters. The 2026 season runs from Friday, October 9 until Sunday, November 1.
Harvest of Horror
This one might test even the hardiest of horror fans. Clearwell farm's pumpkin village looks innocent during daylight but buy a ticket for the Harvest of Horror and you might need to take your mam to hold your hand. For over 16s this has four areas where you can get the bejesus scared out of you—abandoned village, sinister circus, terror tunnel and the Pump-King's barn.
Horror cinema screenings for grown-ups
Yes, you'd better have that blanket—to hide under! There are several horror film screenings around South Wales, some in very creepy locations.
On October 9 at Margam Park, Adventure Cinema is showing Scream (1996 version). Darkened Rooms have several spooky showings around the city, too. Watch The Descent at Cardiff Castle's underground cinema at 4pm on Halloween. Or get some classic chills at Insole Court on October 25, with French thriller, Les Diaboliques. The Lost Boys will show at Cardiff's Theatre Cafe on October 30.
