Sadie King (Patsy Kensit) lost to Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) when it came to finding Jimmy's (Nick Miles) hidden £150k in Emmerdale. The original reason she came back to the Dales was to get the five grand Jimmy supposedly owed her. When she arrived, she learned he was worth a whole lot more and decided to stick around to get her hands on it. Robert got there first when he twigged that Jimmy had stashed it in his golf locker.
Sadie's next target
But Sadie lives an extravagant lifestyle while also living on the breadline. She needs to find her next money tree to tap – and it comes in the form of Caleb Milligan (William Ash).
With Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) desperate to ruin Caleb and Ruby Miligan (Beth Cordingly), he managed to recruit Sadie to help him destroy them, with the kicker for Sadie being that she could have Moneybags Milligan all to herself as her prize.
Joe's revenge plan
Joe's unwavering in his need to trash Caleb and Ruby after they contributed to the death of his one true love, the one woman who kept him good, Dawn. His previous attempts at destroying them failed – he buried Ruby alive in a coffin and waited for her to die, but his glee got the better of him and he gloated to Caleb about what he'd done, which meant Caleb then knew where to look for her to save her.
Joe promised then that he wouldn't give up trying to ruin their lives like they ruined his. He then recruited Sadie into his little evil world.
Sadie's seduction scheme
Sadie already has eyes on Caleb, having flirted with him from the moment she arrived. Joe recruited her to spy on them, but she decides to seduce Caleb instead. Part of the plan has been for her to sow little seeds of doubt for Caleb, making him believe wine-merchant Ruby has a drinking problem to turn him against her.
Sadie starts trying to come between them with little drips of information and the cracks begin to show.
Cain had previously warned Caleb about Sadie and he laughed it off. But will Sadie have the last laugh?
