Hundreds of people have gathered in Whitby this weekend for the world-renowned Whitby Goth Weekend, marking Halloween with an eerie Saturday evening in the seaside town.
The bi-annual event, which is set to last until Sunday, has drawn fantastically dressed characters from across the country. Witches, vampires and even a Ghostbuster were spotted in the town on Friday, with more of the same on Saturday.
Live Music and Community Activities
Live music, exhibitions and other community-minded activities are on offer for those attending the festival.
ChronicleLive photographer Iain Buist was at Whitby Goth Fest for day one of the event on Friday, capturing images of the crowds.
Gallery Highlights from Day Two
A gallery from day two shows attendees in elaborate costumes. Claire and Philip Evans, from Barnsley, posed for a picture, as did Ian and Gill Grainger, from Wetherby, and Johnny and Rachel Morningstar, from Malton.
One image shows Batman walking his dog next to the harbour, while another features Gremlins in Whitby. Pennywise from IT was a popular theme in the town on Saturday.
