Halloween 2026: Newcastle parties hard in 16 photos

Newcastle city centre was packed on Saturday night as Halloween revellers turned out in force, with photographers capturing a host of killer costumes across town.

The fact that Halloween fell on a weekend this year meant the city was always going to be busy with people marking the occasion in style. Friday night proved to be just the warm-up, as things went up a few notches on Saturday, with loads of fantastic costumes spotted as photographers headed out to capture the fun.

Early start to the creepy chaos

There was an early start to the Halloween fun in Newcastle on Saturday, with doors opening before 12 noon at the Boiler Shop for a daytime Halloween special at Bongo's Bingo. Photographers got shots of everyone there as they wholeheartedly fulfilled the fancy dress brief. More fun was to be had at Bongo's on Saturday night too, with photographers going back to capture the arrivals as they made their way in.

There were some very well dressed people all around town, as superheroes like Batman & Robin partied with Harley Quinn and plenty of Jokers, witches and cowboys were also clocked.

Costumes spotted across the city

The photos show revellers in a range of outfits, including Shrek and superhero themes, a Top Gun costume, and groups ready for a night of fun at Bongo's Bingo. The gallery captures the atmosphere of the evening, with many people photographed in Jesmond on Friday night as the Halloween fun got going with real gusto.

The gallery of 16 photos showcases the best of the costumes seen in Newcastle city centre over the weekend, with the hope that everyone had a great time whatever they got up to.
