Green Man 2026: Road Closures, Line-Up, and Tickets

Green Man Festival 2026 is underway in Bannau Brycheiniog, near Crickhowell, with the site now open for Settlement pass holders and full access from Thursday, August 20. The festival offers music, comedy, food, drink, science, wellbeing, and family activities.

Line-up Highlights

Scottish post-rock band Mogwai headlines Thursday's opening line-up. Four Tet returns for his fourth festival performance, having played in 2004, 2009, and 2019. Wolf Alice closes the Mountain Stage on Sunday, headlining for the first time, following their 2025 record The Clearing, which won the 2026 BRIT Award for Group of the Year.

Other acts include Sparks, Cat Power, The Beta Band, Aldous Harding, Dry Cleaning, Wednesday, Shame, Sorry, The Beths, Smerz, and Daniel Avery.

Getting There and Road Closures

By car, use the Orange Gate or Settlement Gate on the B4558, following signs from Crickhowell. Park and Ride is a few miles away with shuttle buses from Thursday to Monday; tickets cost £20 on arrival. Free shuttle buses run from Abergavenny train station on various days.

Orange Car Park opens at 8am on Thursday, August 20; Settlement Car Park opened Monday, August 17; Park and Ride opens 10am Thursday. All cars need a ticket: £40 on the door for Orange, £55 for Settlement (Settlement pass holders only), and £20 for Park and Ride.

Pre-festival, the B4560 is now open after wildfire closures. Post-festival, the B4558 is closed to inbound traffic on Monday, August 24, so pick-ups should be arranged at Park and Ride.

Festival Rules and Must-Sees

Due to heat and wildfire risks, gas stoves on tables are allowed, but campfires, charcoal BBQs, and disposable BBQs are not. Smoking and vaping in tents and bars is banned. The Green Man burn will not take place on Sunday. More water points and shelter are added.

Must-sees include headliners Wilco, Four Tet, and Wolf Alice; Green Man Rising winner Tall Child; The Courtyard's local ales; Cinedrome cinema; The Last Laugh comedy; Back of Beyond's Coblyn; Round the Twist secret sets; The Wishbone cabaret bar; the Little Folk parade (Sunday 4pm) and Pride March (Friday 3pm); and the Green Man statue.

Area highlights include Mountain's Foot, Far Out, Walled Garden, Courtyard, Babbling Tongues, Fortune Falls, Einstein's Garden, Little Folk, Somewhere, Nature Nurture, and The Settlement.
