Vogue Williams has shared her favourite pregnancy-friendly fashion finds from a recent holiday, including £30 Printed Bubble Hem Beach Trousers from Marks & Spencer. The trousers feature an adjustable drawstring waist and a billowy, cuffed-ankle shape, making them suitable for wearing during pregnancy and after.
Adjustable waist for growing bump
Vogue, who is expecting her fourth child, has been sharing bump-friendly outfits while abroad. The trousers have a relaxed fit with a cuffed ankle, giving them a trending balloon shape. The adjustable drawstring fastening allows the waist to accommodate a growing bump, especially if sizing up once or twice, and can be pulled tighter after birth.
On her LTK page, Vogue said: “I’ve got these gorgeous balloon pants from Marks & Spencer.” She styled them with a brown bikini top and the co-ordinating Printed Puff Sleeve Volume Top, which is suitable for layering.
Sheer fabric and shopper reviews
Both pieces are made from a sheer material that adds coverage without feeling hot or restrictive. The dark green and brown swirl pattern makes them less see-through away from the pool or beach. However, some shoppers found the sheerness off-putting, with one saying: “Lovely print and nice style. However, I know these are sold as beach trousers but they are completely see through with no lining at all meaning they can only be worn on the beach. I would have loved to dress them up in the evening or wear them during the day but the fabric meant this was not an option so I returned them.”
Other shoppers praised the trousers, with one writing: “These trousers make you look nice very flattering the colours flattering I will wear this to The Beach and I’ll wear it also going out I will dress it up with the top or a jacket looks very smart very dressy. You just had a little pair of gold shoes, accessories, little belt, little bodysuit. I love it.” Another added: “Lovely trousers no need to limit to the beach. Went down a size as they fit big. Don’t plan to limit to beachwear just stick some Lycra shorts underneath and wear out.”
