Take That Fans Shine Despite Rain
Whenever Take That come to town, their fans come out in force. Tuesday night was no different as Gary, Mark, and Howard brought a packed audience to the Stadium of Light, delivering a spectacular show that even the abysmal weather earlier in the day could not spoil. Along with the action, there were attention-grabbing outfits to photograph. It is practically a law for Take That fans to attend every concert looking the part. Although the late afternoon deluge could have easily thwarted outfit plans, many fans still made the effort, even if they reluctantly added a poncho to their look at the last minute.
Queues and Arrivals
With gates opening at 5pm, queues formed long before. Once the clock struck 5, huge crowds descended, many straight off the Metro at the Stadium of Light or St Peter's stops. ChronicleLive was present from late afternoon to capture the rain-soaked arrivals. The looks did not disappoint. A wide array of Take That t-shirts and hoodies were spotted in the queues, some freshly purchased from the merch stand. There were also very on-brand costumes fitting the Circus theme, including clowns who somehow kept their face paints from running in the rain, bowler hats, and striking suits.
Standout Outfit
One standout was Stephen Sullivan from South Shields, a long-time Take That fan whose ensemble immediately caught the eye. He told reporters he was most looking forward to hearing 'Hold Up A Light'. Stephen's great outfit was one of many photographed on Tuesday night.
