A five-year-old girl from Milton Keynes has celebrated her birthday in truly royal fashion after her parents spent an astonishing £19,000 on a fairy-tale princess party.
A Day Fit for a Princess
Rebecca Kingsley Inyiri marked her fifth birthday on December 6 with an extravaganza that surpassed the cost of many weddings. Her parents, Vanessa and Kingsley Inyiri George, orchestrated a day of pure fantasy for their daughter. The centrepiece was a Cinderella-style horse-drawn carriage that transported Rebecca through her hometown to the 360 Play soft play venue in Knowlhill, where 80 guests awaited her arrival.
The young birthday girl was dressed for the occasion in a £879 princess dress from Givenchy, paired with pink shoes and a sparkling tiara featuring the number five. Her grand entrance caused a stir. "The parents were screaming and the kids were also screaming. As she arrived a happy birthday song was sang to her," recalled 29-year-old Vanessa.
Opulent Details and Personal Touches
No expense was spared for the guests, either. The party bags were far from ordinary, stuffed with electronic watches, cameras, and other premium toys for the children. The adults were treated to a bottle of personalised champagne adorned with Rebecca's own label. The celebration also featured exclusive VIP drinks, including high-end tequila from Clase Azul and Don Julio.
Following a meal of home-cooked English and African dishes, Rebecca blew out the candles on a chocolate unicorn birthday cake. Her father, Kingsley, a 39-year-old Afrobeat artist known as LondonSpec, shared his joy: "She loves dancing and playing the piano - she gets that from me. To watch her grow up from being a little kid to know what to do for herself is special."
A Father's Heartfelt Promise
While some may view the spending as excessive, Kingsley revealed a deeply personal motivation for ensuring his daughter feels like royalty. He named Rebecca after his own mother, who died in a plane crash in Nigeria in 2010. "I always said what I couldn't do for my mother, I would do for my daughter instead," he explained emotionally. "With first daughters, we don't play with them. We set them up for life."
This philosophy is reflected in Rebecca's lifestyle and gifts. At just nine months old, she was chauffeured to her first day at nursery in a white Rolls Royce. For her birthday this year, she received a special piano and a custom-made bed equipped with phonics and maths learning systems. Her uncle, former presidential advisor Doctor Eke Agbai, gifted her US$10,000 (approx. £7,412.40), as he does every year.
The reported cost breakdown for the party included:
- Horse and carriage: £4,900
- Designer dress: £870
- Party venue: £1,200
- Customised champagne: £2,300 for 120 bottles
- Homemade food: £1,200
- Extras and VIP drinks: £5,000
For the George family, providing such luxurious experiences for their daughter is a non-negotiable expression of love and a fulfilment of a poignant promise.
