Bradley Walsh is returning to screens in a new Sky History series, Bradley Walsh: Out of This World, which will see the presenter investigate UFOs and other unexplained phenomena. The series follows his earlier announcement that he would not be returning to host the BBC gameshow Blankety Blank.
The former Coronation Street and The Chase star is continuing his travel series format after previously exploring the Egyptian Pyramids and conspiracy theories about their construction in Bradley Walsh: Egypt’s Cosmic Code. His new series shifts focus to extra-terrestrial phenomena.
Investigating UFOs and military encounters
A synopsis for the series says: “With his trademark humour, curiosity and willingness to ask the questions the rest of us are thinking, Bradley travels across Britain, Europe and America in search of answers to one enormous question: are we really alone?”
The series begins with UFOs, examining Britain’s declassified Ministry of Defence documents. It includes a discussion with Nick Pope, which was his final interview before he died in April 2026, and first-hand accounts from Lieutenant Colonel Charles ‘Chuck’ Halt about the Rendlesham Forest incident. Bradley also travels to Arizona to meet Dr Lynne Kitei, who witnessed the Phoenix Lights.
Bradley consults leading scientists and specialists before venturing into “the mysterious world of military UAP encounters and government disclosure”. Drawing on accounts from former US military personnel who observed the ‘Tic Tac’ object, he examines recently declassified documents and questions whether generations of secrecy may have concealed something exceptional, as pressure builds on the US government to disclose what it knows.
From Ghost Rockets to Atlantis and Stonehenge
He also journeys to Sweden, which houses the world’s most extensive UFO archive, to investigate objects reported below the surface, including the ‘Ghost Rockets’ from the 1940s and the Baltic Sea Anomaly in the Gulf of Bothnia.
In the third instalment, Bradley investigates the legend of Atlantis, travelling from Gibraltar to Cadiz in southern Spain to see whether he can uncover evidence beneath the waves. Sky teased: “Bradley learns of ancient structures hidden along the shoreline before heading out to sea to hear about submerged walls, columns and ruins discovered on the seabed. From ancient legends to underwater discoveries, Bradley follows the clues in search of a civilisation lost for thousands of years. Could he finally have found the lost island of Atlantis?”
Finally, Bradley returns to Britain to examine how Stonehenge was constructed, how its massive stones were transported, and why its alignments with the sun and moon continue to captivate us 5,000 years later. The announcement concluded: “From UFOs and USOs to Atlantis, Stonehenge and crop circles, Bradley approaches the unexplained with an open mind, a healthy dose of scepticism and plenty of laughs. It's a global adventure like no other.”
Exit from Blankety Blank
The new series comes after Bradley confirmed he would not return to host Blankety Blank, which was revived by the BBC in 2021 after first launching in 1979 with Terry Wogan. He told Radio Times: “I just don’t have the time, which is sad because I’ve loved Blankety Blank. It’s been one of my favourite shows, and it’s been brilliant.”
He added: “Blankety Blank has been brilliant. It really makes me laugh. It’s the most fun you can have in the studio, and I just cannot at the moment work on it. I just have not got the time. I would normally go to studio October, but I’m all taken up in October and November, so I just haven’t time to do it. Maybe next year.”
Bradley Walsh: Out of This World will be available from Tuesday, November 3, on Sky HISTORY and Sky Play, with Bradley Walsh: Egypt’s Cosmic Code available to watch now.
