Katie Price has returned to Dubai for a holiday following her husband Lee Andrews' release from prison. The businessman was reportedly freed from custody last week, Katie revealed, and he appeared on FaceTime looking delighted despite his time in the infamous Al Awir jail in Dubai.
Katie's Return to Dubai
Despite his eagerness to see her after he was said to be freed, the glamour model didn't appear to feel the same way, as she remarked: "I'm excited – but trust me, I have questions." She has now jetted back to Dubai, challenging followers on Snapchat to work out her location.
She subsequently posted pictures from a beachside bar in the capital and the panorama across the water, confirming she had returned to Dubai. Nevertheless, she has yet to explain why she's in Dubai and whether she intends to meet Lee.
Lee's Release from Prison
Lee was reportedly freed from Dubai's Al Awir prison last week, after a month locked inside. When he was freed from jail, his first port of call was to reach out to his wife, according to the Mirror.
A source revealed: "He called Kate straight away and she was thrilled – not least because she didn't pay a penny of the £140,000 fine to get him out. Of course she has heard the discourse surrounding him, and she's not stupid.
"She knows the optics aren't great if she stays with this man. But as any woman who has been love-bombed knows, it's hard to leave when you're being treated so well."
Financial Aspects
Katie claimed she had been asked to pay a six figure sum to secure Lee's release but she hadn't done so. "The only way Lee will get out of prison is he has to sort himself out himself. If not, he'll be in prison.
"I'm not [in Dubai] to pay anything for anyone. There's nothing I can do. I've got my own life, even though he's part of my life," she said.
Lee was allegedly freed but it remains unclear what was paid, if anything, or by whom. When Katie returned to the UK without her wedding ring following her trip to visit Lee behind bars, a source said she has no intention of dumping her man.
"She's only taken her ring off to fly back to create a story," they explained, "she's not wearing the ring but she's not left him. She knows she has to be seen to be doing the right thing. But she hasn't left him, she's very much into this marriage."
Katie needs to show that she's not with him, because she knows how this all looks and what everyone thinks of him. Behind closed doors, she's still very much in contact with him. She's been defiant, but she's making sure she doesn't lose her face.
