JLo and Brett Goldstein Sizzle in Office Romance Trailer

The first official trailer for the upcoming Jennifer Lopez romantic comedy Office Romance has been released, and it features plenty of passionate kisses between the 56-year-old actress and her co-star, Brett Goldstein, best known for his role in the hit series Ted Lasso.

Chemistry on Display

The trailer showcases multiple steamy moments, with Lopez and Goldstein locking lips on the beach, at dinner, during a walk, and even inside an elevator. The film, set to premiere on Netflix on June 5, has already generated significant buzz among fans.

One Reddit user commented, "Hello!? Where has he been all her life? This is the perfect dude for Jenny." Another added, "I was smiling from ear-to-ear during the entire clip, these two sizzle like no one else." A third user noted, "Ben Affleck must be crying into his Dunkin' Donuts coffee mug, poor guy. He lost a good thing when he left JLo." Lopez and Affleck split two years ago after nearly two years of marriage.

Plot Details

Lopez plays Jackie Cruz, an alluring airline CEO who falls for her recently hired employee, Daniel Blanchflower, portrayed by Goldstein. Their chemistry is evident from their first meeting in her office and takes a romantic turn during a work trip to a stunning tropical location. Upon returning to the office, they struggle to keep their relationship a secret, fearing it could jeopardize her career.

Netflix shared an official synopsis on Instagram, describing the film as "a raunchy romantic comedy about a secret office romance and the trouble two workaholics get in when they start thinking with their hearts." Lopez responded with three clapping emojis.

Lopez's Perspective

In an interview with People earlier this month, Lopez described her character as a "workaholic, incredibly controlled and not looking for distractions." She noted that while she shares some traits with Jackie, their approaches to work-life balance differ significantly. "Although I work incredibly hard, I understand the balance of work/life and prioritizing family and friends," she said.

Lopez also praised the film's tone, calling it "a classic romance, with modern edgier humor," which convinced her to take the lead role despite a packed schedule. "I was booked back to back with other projects, but I knew I had to do this movie, so we made it work," she explained. "I think it's exactly what we all need right now."

Goldstein's Contribution

Goldstein, who co-wrote the script with Joe Kelly, revealed that the project was specifically tailored for Lopez. "We started asking ourselves who the best rom-com star is, and without hesitation, we both said JLo," he told People. "Within the space of a long train journey, we had the whole idea for the film. It's easy to write a rom-com when you have JLo in mind."

Director Ol Parker added that the film pushes boundaries: "It pushes the envelope slightly for what people might expect from a Jennifer Lopez movie. She was delighted to do that and very funny doing it."
