Harry Styles Reflects on 'Career Highlight' During Intimate Meltdown Orchestral Show

Harry Styles has described his current run of London performances as a 'career highlight', following an intimate orchestral show at the Southbank Centre's Meltdown festival. The 32-year-old singer, who curated the 2026 festival, was joined by the Jules Buckley Orchestra for the fundraising event on Tuesday evening.

The show, which took place days after Styles began his record-breaking 12-night residency at Wembley Stadium, featured stripped-back arrangements of songs from his four albums. Styles joked that the performance would be 'a little bit different' from his tour, quipping: 'There will be no nipples,' in reference to his revealing stage costumes.

Styles opened with 'Boyfriends' and performed tracks including 'Paint By Numbers', 'Fine Line', 'Two Ghosts', and 'Matilda'. He praised the orchestra and composer Jules Buckley, saying: 'I've always been a lover of orchestral music... it's quite an intimidating field to step into as someone who cannot read music.'

The singer also performed 'Carla's Song' from his latest album, explaining it was inspired by watching a friend hear Simon and Garfunkel's 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' for the first time. He called music 'magic' and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to perform with such talented musicians.

Styles is set to break the record for most performances by any artist in a single year at Wembley Stadium, surpassing Coldplay's 10 shows last year and Taylor Swift's record for a solo artist. His global tour continues with dates in New York, Sao Paulo, Mexico City, Melbourne, and Sydney.
