Big Brother host Will Best has been confirmed as one of the celebrities taking part in this year's Strictly Come Dancing, and he is also set to appear on another BBC show, Picture Slam.

The 41-year-old presenter, known for hosting ITV's Big Brother reboot alongside AJ Odudu, expressed pure enthusiasm about joining the dance competition, though admitted uncertainty about his prospects. He remarked: "I can't quite believe it... I'm doing Strictly! What an absolute dream. Albeit a pretty terrifying one. I've been lucky to do lots of live telly before, but absolutely nothing like this. And I cannot wait! I have no idea if I can actually dance, but bring on the sequins, bring on the quicksteps, bring on the dance floor! I'm going to try to enjoy every minute of it."
Best joins a line-up that includes Lacey Turner, Dani Dyer, Delta Goodrem, Chris Appleton, and Cach Mercer, as the BBC begins revealing this year's celebrity contestants.
Picture Slam Appearance
This won't be the sole BBC show featuring the radio host, as he's also been announced for the popular game show Picture Slam, fronted by Alan Carr, reports Wales Online. The programme launched in 2023, though this marks the first occasion celebrity participants have taken part, with the BBC revealing that viewers can anticipate two celebrity guest editions, alongside a celebrity Christmas special, arriving later this year.
Will is set to appear on the gameshow with Fleur East, who previously hosted Strictly's It Takes Two. When questioned about his participation in the cherished BBC quiz programme, Will admitted he's not focused on victory. Speaking to the BBC, he said: "Really excited, it's a great show, and I do watch it. It blows my mind how good the contestants are. But I'm here to have fun. I'm not here to try and win, I am here to have a good time. I am doing it with my mate Fleur East, which is great. So, we will have a laugh."
Other Celebrity Participants
The celebrity special episodes will also feature former BBC Breakfast presenter Steph McGovern alongside Gareth Malone, and Jamie-Lee O'Donnell teaming up with Ellie Taylor. BBC audiences can additionally expect to see Richie Anderson paired with Jason Mohammad, Lee Latchford-Evans with Kéllé Bryan, and Charlie Brooks with Sue Cleaver.
Alan Carr's Picture Slam is returning to BBC iPlayer and BBC One for series four on Saturday, July 18.
