Vernon Kay has publicly supported Tess Daly after she shared a Halloween post, days after she commented on his latest career milestone. The BBC Radio 2 presenter responded to the post with the words "Bravo!!!!" alongside a flame emoji.
The couple, who confirmed their separation five months ago, share daughters Phoebe and Amber. They have remained on friendly terms, having spent time together on a family holiday in France and at Phoebe's birthday party.
Mutual support on social media
Vernon has consistently cheered on Tess since their split, celebrating her work with swimwear brand Naia Beach and commenting on her Instagram posts. Tess had been quieter on the platform, often liking Vernon's posts but rarely commenting on them.
That changed on Thursday (October 29) after Vernon shared news about his radio show's listening figures. He wrote: "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Three sets of listening figures in a row, on the up! It's greatly appreciated. Myself and the team are buzzing!"
He added: "You've made us all very HAPPY!! THANK YOU for tuning in and allowing us to have so much fun on national radio. @bbcradio2."
Statement after separation
Tess surprised fans by replying with two clapping emojis followed by a heart.
The pair, who married in 2003, announced their separation in May. In a joint statement, they said: "After much consideration, and with a deep sense of care and respect for one another, we have made the decision to separate amicably."
They added: "This has not been an easy choice, but it comes from a place of mutual understanding and a shared desire for what is best for both of us. We remain great friends and, most importantly, fully committed to our roles as loving and supportive parents, which will always be our priority."
Vernon has reportedly moved out of the family mansion in Buckinghamshire, but the duo have continued to spend time with their daughters as a foursome, with fans applauding their post-split dynamic.
