YouTube sensation and social media personality Trisha Paytas has opened up about an unconventional method she uses to soothe her newborn son, Elvis – and it involves none other than the DC superhero Aquaman.
In a recent revelation, Paytas shared that playing scenes from the 2018 blockbuster Aquaman, starring Jason Momoa, has an almost magical effect on her baby boy. According to the new mum, the underwater adventures of the Atlantean king help Elvis drift off to sleep effortlessly.
The Aquaman Effect
"It's the strangest thing," Paytas admitted. "Whenever Elvis gets fussy, we just put on Aquaman, and he instantly calms down. There's something about those oceanic visuals and Momoa's voice that does the trick."
The 35-year-old content creator, known for her candid parenting posts, explained that she stumbled upon this trick by accident during a late-night feeding session. "I was exhausted and just wanted to watch something to stay awake," she recalled. "Next thing I knew, Elvis was completely mesmerised by the screen."
A Parenting Hack Worth Trying?
While paediatricians typically recommend limiting screen time for infants, Paytas insists this method works wonders for her family. "I know it's not traditional, but parenting is all about finding what works for your child," she said.
The internet personality, who welcomed Elvis with husband Moses Hacmon in September 2022, has been refreshingly honest about the challenges of new motherhood. From sleepless nights to unexpected solutions, Paytas continues to share her journey with millions of followers.
Could this superhero-themed parenting hack catch on? Only time will tell if other sleep-deprived parents will be turning to Atlantis for help with their little ones.
