TikTok star Marcel Johnson has died aged 33 after a battle with stage four stomach cancer, his wife Taylor has confirmed. The father-of-five passed away on 2 November, having chronicled his health journey on the social media platform.

Wife's tribute

Posting on Facebook, Taylor shared a collection of photos of the couple together and wrote: "November 2 2026 @ 4:45pm. I lost a whole entire half of me. He fought so hard for so long. He was so tired and exhausted and in so much pain."

She added: "Yesterday the only words Marcel said all day were to me and Dedric and it was 'I'm ready to go' and that was in the morning. He still fought to hang on all day so we just got a bit more time. I truly don't even have words right now."

Taylor continued: "I feel like this can't be real life. How can this be real f***ing life. I thought I was going to wake up and he was still going to be here beside me. I love him with my whole entire being and life will absolutely never ever be the same."

Fan and family tributes

The comments section was swamped with tributes from devastated fans. One wrote: "Taylor, I can't even imagine.. Marcel definitely left an impact on this world, he was so strong and showed those boys endless amount of love. My heart breaks for you guys, so so much."

Another added: "I dont think ive ever been more sad for strangers on the internet then you guys. There is no words to take away your pain but the love you guys shared will always be there."

Marcel's younger brother Dedric also paid his respects, praising him as his "protector" and "built in best friend". He wrote: "I've spent so much of my life looking up to you, and I don't think I ever truly found the words to explain just how proud I am to be your little brother."

Dedric added: "You fought a battle that had odds stacked against you from the jump and you faced every last minute of it with a courage and a tenacity that you were going to beat this shit, and I'll admire that for the rest of my life. Saying you were strong is an understatement, you were a real life superhero."

He went on to promise: "Taylor and those boys will never have to question whether they Uncle Deej. I'll be there for the birthdays, the milestones, the hard days, and all the little moments in between."

Request over AI images

Taylor went on to urge fans to refrain from sharing AI-generated images of Marcel, adding: "I know everyone means well but like that does not look like him or us and I feel it's a slap in the face."
