Tess Daly's Emotional Two-Word Message to Vernon Kay

Tess Daly has sent a heartfelt two-word message to Vernon Kay following their split, as the former couple continue to show they remain on good terms.

The pair announced in May that their marriage had come to an end after 22 years. In their joint statement, Tess, 57, and Vernon, 52, said they would remain committed to their roles as "loving and supportive parents" to their two daughters, Phoebe, 22, and Amber, 16.

Birthday Tribute on Instagram

On Friday, October 16, Vernon shared a gallery of snaps on Instagram to mark Phoebe's 22nd birthday, including a recent photo of the pair at an American football game and a sweet throwback picture from her childhood. The BBC Radio 2 presenter also shared a nostalgic image of Tess cuddling Phoebe when she was a little girl.

"Happy Birthday @phoebeeekay !!! Time flies! A joy watching you become the woman you are!" Vernon wrote in the caption.

Several social media users took to the comments to wish Phoebe a happy birthday, while Tess penned "our girl" under the image alongside a red heart emoji.

Amicable Split Confirmed

Announcing their split, Tess and Vernon assured fans that they would remain friends and insisted "no other parties" were involved in their breakup.

They said: "After much consideration, and with a deep sense of care and respect for one another, we have made the decision to separate amicably."

"This has not been an easy choice, but it comes from a place of mutual understanding and a shared desire for what is best for both of us."

They added: "We remain great friends and, most importantly, fully committed to our roles as loving and supportive parents, which will always be our priority."

The duo said: "There are no other parties involved in this decision. We kindly ask for privacy during this time. We will not be making any further public comments."

Vernon's New Property Plans

In August, reports emerged that Vernon was planning to move out of the family's six-bedroom home in Buckinghamshire. Vernon reportedly purchased a property worth £3 million, located around 15 minutes from the home he shared with Tess and their daughters.

"They've been navigating the end of their marriage carefully and haven't rushed into anything. Vernon has now bought a place close to the family home in Buckinghamshire," a source said.

"It means he can stay close to their girls, which is something important to both him and Tess."

The insider added that Vernon was still carrying out renovations on his new property and would not move out of the family home until the work was complete.

"He's having renovations done and will move out when the house is ready. Tess is supporting him with the move," they added to The Sun.

"It's going to be very strange for them after living together for over two decades, so they're both treating the situation with care and respect."
