Taylor Swift asked a fan to stop filming her during a Kansas City Chiefs game, gesturing for the person to focus on the match instead. The 36-year-old singer was watching her husband Travis Kelce take on the Los Angeles Chargers from a VIP box alongside her mother-in-law Donna Kelce and friends Caitlin Clark and Este Haim.
Despite security already asking the fan not to record, Swift noticed a member of the public standing directly in front of the box filming her. The woman was separated from the singer only by a pane of glass and had turned around to capture footage of her.
Fan reaction to the interaction
During the game, Swift was captured pointing towards the pitch, apparently telling the person with the camera to watch the game instead. The interaction was filmed and posted to social media, where other fans largely supported her reaction.
One person commented: "She literally asked her to stop bc she's trying to watch the game. It's not rude." Another noted that someone else had also asked the fan to stop, saying: "The guy in the green telling her to please stop lol."
A third viewer wrote: "People standing under her and staring has to be so annoying," while a fourth added: "I do not understand how people think this is okay even after she told you to stop, you continue on until her bodyguard has to tell you to go."
Swift's reaction and outfit
Some fans suggested Swift was not genuinely annoyed, but simply wanted the person to enjoy the game they had paid to see. One said: "We can see she's smiling in the end, she's probably just telling her smth like, 'you paid to see the game you should watch it lol,' why would people directly assume she's mad."
Throughout the game, Swift appeared in good spirits, hugging her mother-in-law and sipping drinks that resembled Aperol Spritz. She wore a red high-neck top in support of the Chiefs' kit, with her signature red lip and honey blonde hair in a straight blow-dry.
Swift has been seen out and about recently with Kelce after the couple kept a low profile for a couple of months following their wedding at Madison Square Garden, which reportedly cost an estimated $20 million to $30 million and was attended by numerous celebrities including Selena Gomez, Graham Norton, Dakota Johnson and Greg James.
