Comedy icon Sir David Jason is set to bring his new show to the North East, with tickets going on sale this Friday. The beloved star of the classic sitcom Only Fools and Horses will tour with An Evening with Sir David Jason, including a date at Sunderland Empire on May 15, 2025.

The performance will feature the actor discussing his illustrious career, sharing behind-the-scenes anecdotes, and presenting rare clips. He will be joined by BBC Breakfast sports presenter Mike Bushell for a conversation about the pivotal moments that shaped his professional life. Now 86 years old, Sir David began his television career in 1965 and has since earned numerous accolades, including four BAFTA awards. He was knighted in 2005 for his services to acting and comedy. Beyond his iconic role as Del Boy Trotter in Only Fools and Horses, he is known for The Darling Buds of May, A Touch of Frost, and Open All Hours. He has also voiced animated characters such as Danger Mouse, The BFG, Count Duckula, and Toad in The Wind in the Willows.
In his new show, Sir David will reveal how Del Boy evolved beyond the original vision of writer John Sullivan and how he has brought uniqueness to many other characters.
