Sarah Ferguson, the former Duchess of York, is reportedly still in contact with her ex-husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, despite the ongoing fallout from the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. The 67-year-old has kept a low profile since stepping back from public life, but a spokesperson told People magazine that the pair maintain an "ongoing cordial and supportive relationship as co-parents and co-grandparents."
Return to the UK and private life
After spending time in the Austrian Alps earlier this year, Ferguson is now believed to be renting a property in the Home Counties. She is said to be focusing on her relocation and family life, rather than royal duties, as she navigates the aftermath of the scandal.
King Charles took action against both Ferguson and Andrew over their association with the convicted sex offender, stripping them of their royal titles and honours. Andrew, 66, was officially stripped of his 'Prince' and 'Duke of York' titles last year and now lives in seclusion on the King's Sandringham estate in Norfolk, having consistently denied any wrongdoing.
Family focus and grandmother role
Ferguson is said to be devoting her energy to her daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, and enjoying her role as a grandmother to five. This includes spending time with Eugenie's newest arrival, baby Adelaide, who was born in August, as well as her brothers, August, five, and Ernest, three.
"She's resettling here, lying low while she looks at the next stage," her spokesperson added. "She's happy spending time with her family and focusing on her relocation. She is embracing her family life and seeing her grandchildren."
Ferguson was last seen on October 29 in London with her daughter, attending a memorial service for her former boyfriend and lifelong friend, Paddy McNally, who passed away in July at the age of 88.
