Ruby Wax Threatens to Sue I'm a Celebrity Producers Over 'Trash' Hotel
Ruby Wax threatens to sue I'm a Celebrity producers

Comedian and TV presenter Ruby Wax has launched a blistering attack on the accommodation provided by ITV, threatening legal action against the show's producers just hours after landing in Australia for I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!.

Pre-Jungle Accommodation Fury

The 71-year-old star, who is due to enter the jungle this Sunday, did not hold back when describing the hotel she was placed in by programme bosses. Ruby Wax declared, "This hotel is just trash… I am complaining and changing rooms already." Her fiery comments set the tone for what promises to be a memorable stint on the reality show.

Legal Threats and Jungle Nerves

When questioned about how hunger and exhaustion might affect her in the jungle, Wax made it clear where her frustrations would be directed. She stated that she would become "snarly" at the people producing the show, adding a pointed warning: "I would just get snarly at the people who are producing this show and remind them that they are insured and I could sue them." Despite this, the outspoken comedian confirmed she is not a quitter, though she admitted to a fear of heights and a recurring fear of being in a plane crash.

Stories, Family Embarrassment, and Dietary Goals

Wax, renowned for interviewing global figures, joked that her campmates would be treated to stories about Donald Trump, OJ Simpson, and Sarah Ferguson whether they wanted to hear them or not. "Oh, they will come out of my mouth," she promised. On a more personal note, she revealed her children are "horrified" by her participation, stating, "My existence is mortifying to my children. The fact that I breathe is an embarrassment." She also candidly admitted that part of her motivation for joining the show is for dietary reasons, confessing, "Well, I am kind of chubby now. You know the stomach is over the top of the jean." For now, however, her biggest battle seems to be with her hotel room, not the jungle itself.
