Robbie Williams has revealed that his 13-year-old daughter, Teddy, sent him a heartbreaking text at 2am, expressing fears about her future and her desire for fame. The singer shared the message during an interview on BBC Radio 2 with Scott Mills.
In the text, Teddy wrote: 'Dad, what if I'm not a singer? It's my biggest fear not to be a singer. What if I'm nothing?' Williams responded by reassuring her that she would be fine, jokingly adding: 'Babe, you're a nepo. You'll be fine.'
Williams, who shares Teddy with wife Ayda Field, admitted that his daughter's desperation for fame is more 'acute' than his own was when he was growing up in Stoke-on-Trent. However, he expressed concern about her sensitivity, saying: 'She is worse than me. And I'm worried about what words will do to her.'
The singer noted that he can guide her professionally but worries about the negative aspects of fame. He added: 'Besides all of that, it's a wonderful life and a wonderful job, and you get to be creative for a living.'
Teddy recently made her acting debut in the Christmas film Tinsel Town, playing the daughter of Rebel Wilson's character. She attended the premiere with her parents. Williams and Field also have three other children: Charlie, 10, Coco, 7, and Beau, 5.
