WWE legend Ric Flair has been pictured for the first time since being rushed to hospital following a fall outside a restaurant. The 77-year-old WWE Hall of Famer posted a selfie of his bruised face with an eye patch on show.
The Nature Boy, who collapsed on Friday just hours after revealing he had a blood clot, thanked fans for their well-wishes and said: "I am focused on my healing and recovery right now. I will be okay!"
Apology Over Social Media Posts
Flair also addressed his social media activity while in hospital, writing: "And just so you know for those who were asking and wondering, I don't own my own Facebook page anymore. I apologize for the reckless posting behavior on my Facebook when I was in the hospital. It was completely inappropriate!"
The 16-time former world champion thanked the medics who looked after him, posting: "Thank you all for the messages and prayers! I will get back to you each individually as i get stronger."
He added: "Thank you to all the Tampa General Hospital staff and doctors that put up with me until 4:30am. I appreciate you all and thank you for everything you did for me!"
Fans React to His Condition
Worried fans said they were praying for the WCW legend, who was reportedly at a Wagamama when he got up from the bar, left his phone and drink behind, and walked across the street before suddenly falling and injuring his face.
One wrote: "The shocking (and welcome) news is that Ric Flair is alive." Another said: "He ain't got long left surely…?" A third said: "He looks so ill." Another fan said: "Bro's one salt & vinegar crisp away from being finished off."
A fan asked: "Seriously, how is this guy not dead yet?" But one wag joked that he had the Grim Reaper "going Broadway", a wrestling term for a time limit draw.
Health Struggles and Family Support
The iconic grappler has suffered from a series of health issues in recent years, including being diagnosed with skin cancer last year. He beat the disease for a second time in July 2025, but a life of excess has left him with issues.
He was recently forced to cancel an appearance at a fan convention in Seattle, Washington, and revealed doctors ordered him not to board long flights after finding a blood clot. Flair was bleeding extensively and was feared to have suffered a concussion in his fall.
His daughter Charlotte, herself a 14-time WWE Women's Champion, revealed on X during his hospital stay that he told the doctor he fell because of the Ultimate Warrior dropping him on his head. She added: "He's going to be ok."
