Rachel Weisz, the acclaimed British actress and film producer, is best known for her roles in The Mummy films and her marriage to James Bond star Daniel Craig. However, before her high-profile relationship with Craig, Weisz had a brief romance with Ben Miller, the actor famous for playing Detective Richard Poole in Death in Paradise.
The pair met while studying at Cambridge University, where Weisz was a contemporary of several notable figures, including Sacha Baron Cohen, Alexander Armstrong, and Sue Perkins. Miller, who was a member of the Footlights drama club, recalled their relationship in an interview with the Daily Mail, saying: 'I joined the Footlights drama club and met a lot of creative, witty people, including Rachel Weisz, who was my girlfriend for a time.'
Weisz's acting career began in the early 1990s, with standout performances in Design for Living and the Mummy franchise. In February 2026, she confirmed her return as Evelyn O'Connell in a fourth Mummy film, scheduled for release in May 2028. Her films have grossed over $3.5 billion globally.
On the personal front, Weisz was in a relationship with filmmaker Darren Aronofsky from 2001 to 2010, with whom she has a son. She then married Daniel Craig in a private ceremony in New York in June 2011, attended by only four guests. The couple have a daughter, born in September 2018. Weisz has stated that she never intended to marry until she met Craig, describing it as 'the opposite' of an ambition.
Weisz currently stars in the Netflix limited series Vladimir, which premieres on March 5. The eight-episode show follows a university lecturer who becomes obsessed with a younger male colleague, played by Leo Woodall.
